SOCIFI has developed an advanced monetization solution for WiFi partners across 67 countries through a proven and sustainable business model. With the release of GIF tokens, monetization solution will be converted into a transparent, blockchain-based marketplace that anyone can benefit from. Every marketplace active user can regularly gain mobile data which can be used in LTE, 4G and 3G networks. This marketplace facilitate communication between the 4 types of users of the SOCIFI platform: publishers, media agencies, sponsors and subscribers.

They have also created the SOCIFI engagement solution (SES) which allows them to deliver more sponsored messages in one session. More sponsored messages within one user’s sessions equals higher revenue generated per user, which equals higher amount of sponsored data provided to user. A side effect is the lower cost of the single sponsored message. In addition to the smart UX/UI, the reward system has implemented a gamification effect that encourages subscribers to explore sponsored content each day and build a stronger relationship with the sponsors


Token model

SOCIFI proposes a new cryptoassets, GIF (the name is derived from data/rewards GIFting), and plans to connect it to its existing ecosystems by integrating GIF into the SOCIFI Engagement Solution (SES) Marketplace.

Subscribers earn GIF when engaged with sponsored content, and this new digital currency is then used for buying sponsored data or other sponsored products or services on one side and for buying media space on the other side. This gives the new currency its fundamental value and helps to establish an economy around the sponsored data community.

In other words, GIF will be used to purchase services from SOCIFI, affiliated companies and to reward users for interacting with the sponsored content.

Sidney Zdenek Hornych – CEO
Sidney, 34-year old serial entrepreneur with successful exits, is responsible for strategic company goals as SOCIFI CEO. In 2003 he established a software house called DPG Invent focused on developing ticketing systems for enterprise customers & governmental agencies (clients such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Regional Development, University of Chemistry and Technology). In 2006, a digital agency was established by Sidney in London, UK. helped to successfully pass digital challenges for companies such as Microsoft, Heineken, L’Oréal, P&G, GSK, Škoda Auto, WMC Grey, McCann, BBDO and many other large companies. In late 2014, SOCIFI was established as a spin-off from the digital agency by Sidney with full support of his colleagues. SOCIFI has got immediate traction and acceleration. Global investors such as Rockaway Capital, Keiretsu Forum and others are working closely with SOCIFI to challenge the status quo in WiFi and LTE industry. SOCIFI is a leading company in Sponsored Data market and has a solid vision of the Sponsored Data future. Tomas Silny – Chief Visionary Officer

A former member of the jury. Co-founder of SOCIFI, which is a spin-off from digital agency He works as a team with Sidney for eternity. Dusan Zabrodsky – Business Development, Consultant
Prior to joining SOCIFI, Dusan was working at AVG (NYSE: AVG), a publicly traded online security company with over 180 million active users, as a Senior Vice President Operation and Business Transformation, where monetization of free users was his core focus. Prior to that Dusan has held many operational roles in the telco industry. Later, Dusan joined Rockaway Capital Investment Partner. Rockaway Capital is a leading venture capital company located in Prague, San Francisco and Sao Paulo. Rockaway Capital invested in SOCIFI in order to build the San Francisco branch for SOCIFI Inc. and establish the company in North America.

Jan Tony Cep – Media Agencies and Digital Media Expert
Jan humanizes businesses his entire professional career. Jan Tony was working at companies such as MediaCom, GroupM, Lagardere and others on strategic positions around the world. You can know him as a board member and investor at TISCALI Media & TISCALI Investment. He also acquired tens of internet companies and projects. Jan Tony trained people in media planning and in campaign strategy, and he built many successful international teams. Jan operates breathtaking venue in the heart of Prague, 64 U HRADEB.

Lucie Kasparova Ebnerova – Managing and Legal Director
Lucie is responsible for the legal and tax management, strategic consulting, including business plan and sales strategy development, partnership business negotiation, controlling finance and accounting and setting and fulfilling the environmental processes in the company. She cooperates with the core team since the beginning of foundation of PositiveZero and SOCIFI as a co-founder and as a part of front and back office.

Karel Fillner – Crypto Expert
Karel is the “Czech Bitcoin Jesus”. He has been enlightening the public in the Czech Republic about cryptocurrencies via his popular blog He also used to be in charge of cointelegraph, a Czech version of He gave lectures to wide audiences as well as to experts at conferences. Among many other clients he also consulted for WBTC In addition, Karel is a Board Member of Parallel Polis – Institute of CryptoAnarchy. Even though his main focus lies within his ambition to bring broad public towards cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, he has decided to fully support SOCIFI in its effort go through with ICO/TGE.

SOCIFI Strengths

Red flags

  • Even though they have a working product, the mainnet release of the SES is only scheduled for Q4 2019.
  • It’ll take years to install the necessary equipment, cellular towers and to become fully operational



Team:  6/10 

The SOFICI team is extremely experienced in the digital advertisement and the wireless/telecom industry. They however lack blockchain expertise in-house which means that they will have to rely a lot on advisors on that front.

Token Model:  3.5/10 

Their token model is underwhelming as there isn’t any strong incentive to hold tokens for any users of the platform. It is only used as a means of payment.

Token Distribution:  7.8/10 

With a bounty campaign, a referral campaign, an airdrop and 61% of all GIFs being sold in the token sale, the token distribution is widespread enough to allow anyone who is interested to participate.

State of the Project:  7/10 

Even though SOCIFI has a working platform with over 50M users, they have not yet released the beta for the blockchain-based part of their platform and their mainnet is scheduled for Q4 2019.

Market:  6.6/10 

The mobile data market is enormous and growing fast. It can definitely benefit from the implementation of blockchain technology. On the other hand, there are already several apps that reward mobile data to their users if they watch ads.

At ICON Partners, we find SOCIFI’s project very interesting. The fact that they already have over 50M users is a great indicative that their team knows how to grow a business. It also means that they will have a very wide reach when they will release their SES. However, their token model is pretty weak since there is no incentive for users to hold tokens, which will put a downward pressure on the price of the token in the long run because of its high volatility.
